B.Sc in Cardiovascular Technology

Cardiovascular Technology—also known as cardiac sonography—is a specialized field in healthcare focused on diagnosing and treating disorders related to the heart and blood vessels. Cardiovascular technologists (or cardiac sonographers/technicians) play an essential role in supporting physicians in the evaluation and management of heart and vascular conditions.

If you aspire to be a part of a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to combating cardiovascular disease, the Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Technology (B.Sc. CVT) offered by the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, may be the ideal path for you.

This program is designed to prepare students to assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular conditions across all age groups. The curriculum includes in-depth training on monitoring cardiac parameters during catheterization lab (Cath lab) procedures and developing proficiency in both basic and advanced life support techniques.
